If you have been paying attention there is a chance that you will have noticed that there have been quite a few improvements to imitation flowers these days. Years ago it would have been easy to spot artificial flowers. Anyone could easily spot if they were fake or real. Today though it is so much harder to tell the difference between fresh and artificial flowers based on their looks alone. You can get imitation flowers made out of silk and some made from plastic. If you want to use flowers to decorate your home or office but hate to pay for fresh flowers all the time as they keep wilting and dying then think about buying imitation flowers instead. Once you start to look for artificial flowers you will notice that there is a massive choice of flowers that look just like the real thing.

Imitation flowers don’t need a lot of looking after, you just need to give them a dust down every week or so. Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe the petals down when they get dusty. There are also some that can be washed, but this doesn’t mean that you should throw them into your washing machine, just clean them by hand and use a nice mild detergent. You have to be a lot more careful when you handle imitation flowers that are made from silk as they are a lot more delicate than the plastic flowers, but they do look more real looking.

Silk imitation flowers which look very real will generally cost quite a bit more than the other less authentic looking flowers. Because you are not going to have to feed and water these plants they are still going to cost less than real flowers. These flowers can be bought in speciality shops, they are available in a huge range of different sizes and colors. When you purchase these flowers make sure that you purchase some greens to match them as well, this is going to help you to pad the arrangement out somewhat. You should be able to make your office or home colorful, bright and attractive if you use these great looking artificial flowers
